Blackford Historical Society
ABOUT US
Blackford Historical Society was formed in 2001. The Society exists to preserve, communicate and promote awareness of the history of the area in and around the village and parish of Blackford, Perthshire. A copy of our constitution can be found here.
The Society records local history and maintains an archive of information, photographs, maps and artefacts. We are always looking to extend the collection and would welcome additional contributions.
MEETINGS
Today, the Society has around 30 members from the village and surrounding area and meets about 8 times a year. The Programme of Events provides details on the talks, visits and seminars for the year.
Suggestions for future meetings and events are openly welcomed. Please email or use the Contact Us form.
Meetings are normally held at 7.30pm on the last Monday of each month in the Church Session House, Blackford Parish Church.
