Blackford Historical Society maintains an extensive archive of historical photographs relating to the village, its people and the surrounding area.

Phase 3 of development of the Highland Spring Railfreight Terminal was to see the arrival of a Kone RTG (Rubber Tyred Gantry) crane in a kit of parts, and was progressively pieced together over the months from May to the end of July 2022.  The crane is designed for lifting loading, lifting and stacking operations within the Highland Spring Railfreight Terminal. This crane is a first of its type being electrically powered and borne on rubber tyres for smoothness and quiet operation.  This is a record of the undertakings over this period.
